Members of NARHA
North American Riding for the Handicapped Association

NARHA is the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association.  NARHA is a national non-profit organization that promotes the benefit of the horse for individuals with physical, emotional and learning disabilities.  After 7 years in operation and being therapists that are NARHA registered, we have decided to officially have the accreditation of being one of NARHA’s member centers.  This is the first step towards becoming a Premier Accredited Center through NARHA.  Just as other professions use accreditation and licensing systems to improve the well-being of their industries, therapeutic equine professionals have a distinction of their own thanks to NARHA's Premier Accredited Center Program. The Premier Accredited Center Program offers NARHA centers the chance to demonstrate their excellence in providing quality, professional equine assisted activities. This voluntary process recognizes NARHA centers that have met established industry standards.

Nature’s Edge is also a Delta Pet Society Affiliate, and our therapists are clinical specialists in Hippotherapy through the American Hippotherapy Association.

Nature’s Edge takes pride in knowing that we are a center that meets standards of these organizations.  This is a critical piece for the success of our ABC (Autism, Brain Injury, and Cerebral Palsy) Retreat Center we hope to break ground on in 2009.  More information on NARHA is at www.narha.org ; www.americanhippotherapyassociation.org and www.deltasociety.org
